Probing Cycle Failed

Post by jadebox » Sat Aug 25, 2018 6:10 pm

I just installed the Carbide Touch Probe on my Shapeoko 3 XXL. I have the revision 2.4d board so it plugged into the "Reserved" header. When I touch the clip to the block, the LED turns from green to red.

I'm running GRBL 1.1 and Carbide Motion 4. When I attempt to probe the Z Axis in Carbide Motion, the router doesn't move and a second later "Probing Cycle Failed" is displayed.

What should I do?

Thanks.

RESOLVED! I decided to follow the directions for what to do if your 2.4 rev board did not have the "Reserved" header. I used the wiring adapter to hook it up as if I had a 2.3 board. And it worked! Apparently my "Reserved" header isn't working.
